The Web App to ‘squoosh’ your images
Google recently launched a new app that would be really useful to the tech world. The name is squoosh and as the name implies it does some pretty good squooshing.
This web app will save you a lot of load time. As you know, displaying high quality images and load time have been almost mutually exclusive. Google has come to the rescue alas.
The app is simple to use as it allows you drag and drop an image of your choosing into the tool. And you can pick from compression standards including MozJPEG, OptiPNG, and Google’s own WebP.
A small slider lets you adjust the level of compression. This way, you’ll see how large the resulting file would be. Also, a second slider can be pulled across the image to let you easily see the effects of the compression.
There are more advanced options available on the web app so visit squoosh app to make use of the tool.
