Online Business: How To Run Adverts on Instagram

How To Run Adverts on Instagram

Businesses now thrive so much on Instagram; however, advertisement is said to be the hub of business; knowing the right way to run a campaign is very important

Instagram is more of sharing emotionally-appealing contents; which are effective for generating quick sales and engagement.

Here is the Step-by-step Guide to Running Instagram Campaign.

It is very important to know that Instagram uses Facebook’s advertising platform

Let’s quickly go through basics before you launch your business campaign on  Instagram

  1. Research on your Competitors; understand what type of ads they are running, what call-to-actions are they using and corresponding engagements.
  2. Create Your Campaign’s Objectives: This is the aim(s) of the campaign you are about to set; objectives include: Gaining more followers, Direct to your website; brand awareness, more reach, traffic, Engagement, Video views, conversion etc.
  3. Set up Your Campaign Targets: This is finding the best person you target your campaign to; i.e. the most likely people to perform the action you have specified. This can be done with respect to location, demographics, interests, behavior, and more.
  4. Build a Creative Campaign Content: Your content is integral to your campaign; your contents can come up as slideshow ads, video ads, photo ads, carousel ads etc.

How To Create Instagram Ads

Step 1: Connect Your Instagram Account to Your Facebook Page

The first step is linking your Instagram account to your Facebook page thus converting your Instagram to being a Business account.

Step 2: Create a  Campaign Using Facebook Ads Manager

Next, head over to the Facebook Ads Manager and click on  “+ Create Campaign” near the top left corner of the screen.

Step 3: Create Your Ad Set

Once you’ve chosen an objective, it’s time to create your Ad Set. This is where you define who you want to see your ads, and how much money you want to spend.

There are two options for your budget, daily budget, and lifetime budget.

A daily budget sets your ad up to run continuously throughout the day, meaning that the algorithm will automatically pace your spending per day.

A lifetime budget sets your ad up to run for a specified length of time, meaning the ads algorithm paces your spending over that entire time period.

Lastly, Track Your Engagement and Conversions

This is checking your Instagram Ad if you are getting the result you earlier proposed; if not, you have options for editing some parts of your campaign

If you’re managing a large number of campaigns, or you’re looking for really precise control over your campaigns, you might want to use the Power Editor.

If you’re part of a large team, then Facebook’s Business Manager is probably best.

If you’re just starting out with Instagram advertising, Facebook’s traditional Ads Manager should suit your needs fine.
